Enlightenment or Nirvana:- At the age of 35years at Bodh Gaya under a Pipal tree on the banks of Niranjan river( vaiskha purnima day)
    • Nirvana:-  Moksha or salvation

First sermon or Dharmachakra Pravartana:- At Sarnath, Where his five disciples had settled.

Four Noble Truths of Buddha( Arya Satyas):-

  • The world is full of sorrows( Sabbam dukkam)
  • The cause of sorrow is desire( Dwadash Nidan/Pratitya Samutpada)
  • If desires are conquered, all sorrows can be removed(Nirvana)
