Purpose:- To tackle cyber enabled financial crime, in participation with Interpol member countries on every continent.

  • The operation code named HAECHI-II was conducted over four months from June to September. Specialized police units from 20 countries, including Hong Kong and Macau, took part in the exercise to specific types of online fraud.
  • The Operation resulted in the arrest of 1003 individuals and helped investigating close 1660 cases.

The Anti Money Laundering Rapid Response Protocol(ARRP)

  • ARRP is a new global stop payment mechanism.
  • Recently, The ARRP successfully intercepting illicit fund in several HAECHI-II cases.
  • The Interpol plans to officially launch the ARRP next year. Its financial crime unit is currently working with member countries to Integrate the system into the existing communication channels.
